Noah elevated his brows before answering. “Yes. Leave us.”

Gone was my intention to hurt him because before I tried, he had hurt me first. I flashed a polite smile to him, curtsied, and turned on my heel.

Before taking two steps away, my hand was yanked until my body crushed against Noah’s body. He positioned me in front of me with his arms locked on my waist and his lowered to my shoulder.

“Not you, my dear.” After saying that, he straightened his stand. “Both of you should go to the slave quarter before I lose my patience.”

“My Lord, we will be thrown—”

“How is that my business? Your misery has nothing to do with me. Go!” He barked, making the two poor women run like their feet were under fire.

Then, before I realized it, I was already on the bed with Noah on top of me. He straddled me while both his hands were placed on either side of my head. He leaned closer; hot breath fanned my face, making my skin heat.

“Was that jealousy I see?” He teased, grinning from ear to ear.
