Chapter 96

Storm

I was alone in the room with Doctor Shailer and the baby. The moment Doyle had left, Doctor Shailer had closed and latched the door and had stayed with me while I gave the baby a feed. I soon learned that breastfeeding wasn’t as easy as it looked. Getting the baby to latch on and making sure that he was getting enough nourishment as I soon found out was a tedious task. It made me realise why so many women chose to use bottles to feed their babies. It was faster, and you could see how much milk your baby was really consuming.  That afternoon, Doctor Shailer told me she was happy with how the baby, and I were doing, and we were allowed to go home, which I was thankful for. I just wanted to go home and be away from prying eyes. The number of random pack members that had stopped in to see the baby at the hospital had gotten to be rather exhausting.
