Sydney
I cautiously peered about the small, confined room, which had cinder block walls painted in a hideous green and was only furnished with a scarred wooden table and two hefty wooden chairs. With a thundering creak, the massive metal door behind me opened, and in stepped my Interrogator, a man who was gigantic by anyone's standards. I kept my eyes downcast, knowing that if I looked at him, he'd see the terror in them.
"Now that you know why you're in here, don't you want to tell me everything and take the easy way out?" In a quiet but forceful tone, he inquired.
I narrated everything, then repeated it several times.
"We're looking into your claim, but the amount of cocaine was enormous. You'd have to stay in the holding cell." He stated.
I gave a
Aiden Call me a jerk, but I was having a good time. Blood rushed to my loins as she looked helpless, like a deer caught in a headlight. I handed her a box of Kleenex as she began talking about what had happened to her, despite the fact that I had not asked. I didn't intervene. I simply held her hand as she told me about her trauma. She exhaled deeply to regain her composure. With all of the crying, her nose was red, and her eyes were puffy. She looked cute. I couldn't keep a smile from appearing on my face. "Mr Reiner, thank you very much. I'm at a loss for what to say." "Well, for starters, you can call me Aiden," I said. "You realise your ordeal isn't done yet? Whoever tried to frame you, and I believe you were, must be a very powerful person." She nodded. "So, tell me what your plan is?" &n
Sydney I was suddenly exhausted and I just wanted to sleep. My entire life was crashing around me and I could do nothing. I needed to talk to someone, I wished Mike was here. He would understand, and help me out. I had never felt this helpless in my life. And I was glad I didn't buy those cufflinks after all. Maybe all this was a bad dream. I would wake up and all this would just go away? Aiden had painted such a bleak picture of my fate, I was in despair. Did I have no choice, other than marrying him and being Mrs Reiner for a year, would it be so bad? He said it would be like working for him, right? What exactly did it imply? I had to become a trophy wife and follow him around? Then came the most important thing...sex. Aiden had been very open about his intentions. He wanted me. Would he force me to sleep with him? That thought was somehow arousing, and I could feel the heat
Sydney "So, what's next?" When Mr Dawson had departed and we were suddenly alone, I questioned Aiden. "Now we're going to have a wedding." Aiden gave me a friendly smile. “A wedding?” "Do you have a favourite? What kind of wedding do you want to have?" He inquired. His question snapped me out of my befuddled state. How was I supposed to plan a wedding? When I barely knew Aiden. "I... I don't have any preference. Anything is fine." I replied. Seriously, why was he hell-bent on making me more miserable. "Oh, please! Every girl fantasises about her ideal wedding. What kind of husband would I be if I couldn't grant one of your wishes?" He was teasing me with his twitching lips. He had no desire to see my wish come true. He
Sydney We went into one of those posh wedding boutiques that Leah and I would never be permitted into. But we were with Jennifer hence, the immaculately dressed, and spotlessly made up staff scrambled around us. "Wow, this is so exciting !" Leah commented, she had begged me to tag along, and frankly, I needed support to go through this. Jennifer had rejected all of the previous dresses, and Leah had finished her fourth glass of champagne. These posh establishments were known for pampering their wealthy patrons. As I glanced in the glass, Jennifer murmured, "I think this is it." The gown was stunning! The silhouette was fitted through the bodice and the
Sydney Leah, Mike, and I went out for our last meal together the day before the 'wedding.' Mike's Steakhouse was our destination. Mike was grumpy as usual, and I was agitated. He'd been particularly silent recently; perhaps he was still angry with me or mistook me for a gold digger who took the easy way out. Maybe he was correct. He dropped us near our door and was about to climb up for his flat when I called him. He stopped and looked at me curiously. "Are you mad at me?" I asked. He looked amused, " no, why would I be mad at you?" I looked at his face for any hints. There wasn't any. "I just figured you'd think I took the easy way out," I said. "Anyone would have done the same Sydney, don't beat yourself up over it. I was just thinking about Rob, he is getting a TV role for me
Aiden "Do you accept this woman as your lawfully wedded wife, Aiden Reiner?" The man inquired. I said, "I do." "Do you accept this man as your lawfully wedded husband, Sydney Rosbak?" After a few seconds of silence, I tightened my grip on her hand, hoping to shake her out of her trance. She shivered. She answered gently, "I do." "I now pronounce you husband and wife, and you may kiss the bride." Her gaze fell on mine at that point. Her eyes were filled with terror and bewilderment. Jennifer had done an excellent job in selecting Sydney’s outfit and accessories. She appeared stunning! For a brief moment, I wanted to cancel everything and rush her into my room. For the time being, I had to make do with simply a kiss. Her soft lips brushed against mine, and I k
As I have stated this story will have multiple points of views. The next chapter will have the author's point of view in the first half and the Character's point of view in the second half. This story is going to have a lot of twists and turns hence I am using this approach of writing the story. Just making it clear so that it's not confusing for the readers. Also, Sydney might appear as a weak character to some. She is supposed to be weak. Not all women are born strong. They grow and gain strengths through their experiences of life. This is the first time I have tried multiple points of views. Your feedbacks are welcome. Thanks
Marilyn glared angrily at the television. The obnoxious anchor was babbling about Aiden's surprise wedding to an unknown woman. Finally, the camera was able to zoom close on the face of the unnamed woman. Marilyn was stunned and unable to respond. What were the chances of this happening? Wasn't she supposed to be incarcerated awaiting trial? Where did her strategy go wrong? How in the world did she got Aiden to pay her bail and marry her? She became enraged and snatched the champagne glass from her hand and slammed it at the screen. The screen did not shatter, but the glass did. The screen and the floor were covered in shards of glass and champagne. Marilyn looked down at her phone when it rang. She took the phone tentatively. "You failed!" A voice said from the other side. "Look, I tried my best! I don't know what happened...." "Meet me right now!" The voice said and cut the call. Marilyn sc
