Grayson POV

It has been a week since Mia has spoken to me face-to-face. She doesn't even come to the cafe anymore. She avoids me in every aspect of her day.

I even went to her work. She doesn't even look at me. Almost like she is disgusted with me.

I am laying on my bed looking up at the ceiling. I just wished I knew what I did wrong. I have been over our conversation a million times and the only thing I can come up with is that she thinks I am either too young or too rich. 

My phone rings and I see that it is my mom.

"Hi, mom. I am sorry to inform you that I still haven't made more progress on Mia."

"No, son listen. You need to come home. It is not going great with your grandfather." I can hear the urgency in her voice. Something is seriously wrong.

"What is wrong with him?"

"He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It is already at stage 4. There is nothing that they can do for him. The doctors said we need to say good-b
