Chapter Thirty-Four: Restraining Order

The longer I stare at Matteo's jacket on the bed, the more I want to throw it out the window. But even that is a hard task because the minute I lift it, I'll press it to my nose and imagine myself in his warm embrace.

“It should be a crime to be that attractive.”

I mutter as I turn my focus to something else, anything else.

I can smell food from downstairs. Weird, I told Paul I don’t want to eat tonight. Hopefully, he plans on storing the food; perhaps I can eat them for breakfast.

With my hair still damp from the shower, I hop onto the bed. My shorts and white shirt are flimsy enough for the warm summer nights, but it's gradually getting colder as we approach autumn.
