Chapter 11 - Hakeem

With the layover at Reykjavik, Iceland, my flight took 9 hours. Each hour, each mile away from Gael is torture. My wolf howled in my head in pain, missing his mate. And I understand just how he feels. I was so upset that I cried through the first two hours until I finally fell asleep. Thank the Goddess that I had a window seat, so no one saw the constant flow of tears down my cheeks.

By the time I landed at Stuttgart Airport, I am as an emotional wreck. My sleep on the plane had been light and constantly interrupted by turbulence, or noise from the passengers, or just the lack of my mate sleeping beside me. If this is how I am not even 12 hours into our separation, how am I going to make it the next three months until Gael comes to visit?

Stepping out of the gate, I see Camden waiting for me. I give him a ghost of a smile, but he scoops me up in his arms, spinning me around with how happy he is to see me.
