Chapter 14 - Birthday Party
Arya POV
I get out of the bed and I feel my head spinning for a couple of seconds but I keep my cool and I try not to show anything to dad. He is worried enough.
“Why are you out of bed?”, he asks walking towards me.
“Today is the twins birthday, I have to be there”, I let out and dad tells me that I should stay in bed. I frown looking at him. He would never tell me to stay in bed when I have a mission like this. It is the day they will find their Mate and I need to be there, their mate will be their weak link and I need it to have some upper hand when it comes to them.
I feel my heart twitching at the thought of them with a mate that is not me. I shake my head pushing away those thoughts. They were not made for me. They are freaks of nature and I can’t allow myself to be engrossed by them, even though they’re beautiful eyes invite me in, and their lips, kissing me. I shake my head as I have a shower.

Arya POV As soon as I saw Julia walking into the bedroom, I realised it was over for me. I don’t know how she figured it out or how she knows who I am. Julia keeps pulling me down the stairs, and everything is quiet, indicating the party is over. Chase POV “Dad, please make it stop”, Colt shouts as we both lay down on the floor, holding on to our stomachs. I take a deep breath, and I stand on one knee as dad looks at us with wide eyes. “What is going on? Arya POV The stabbing keep happening and I can’t move, the pain is slowly killing me. Why am I not fighting back? I should be fitting back. “Who sent you?”, Julia asks and I look her in the eyes. “My dad”, I say just before I close my eyes as the ropes are released from my wrists. I close my eyes and I can hear her screaming in agony. Colt POV “Stay the fuck away from me, I Arya reject….”, Arya says, but Chase runs to her and collapses his lips on hers. I walk behind her and wrap my arms around her waist, pulling her close to me, my heart beating fast as my wolf cries because of her words, words that Chase didn’t let her finish. Arya POV I was walking for hours, and when I looked around, I was at the pack's border, the north border. I close my eyes and take a deep breath as I cross the border. Chase POV “Come on, and you can do better”, Aries shouts at me as I try to escape from his blows to my torso. I have been focusing a lot more on my fighting. Losing Arya has made me go completely insane, and here, in the fighting rink, is the only place I can be myself and allow my body to take over my mind. Arya POV “Arya, hun, there’s someone here to see you”, I hear Nana shouting from the house and I freeze, They found me? I look at the house focusing as much as I could remembering all the training I have been receiving. I close my eyes and I imagine myself inside the house and I can sense one person in the house, I don’t feel the mate bond. I open my eyes and look up. I am bleeding from my nose. I clean it with the back of my hand and slowly I walk to the house. Is it crazy that I feel disappointed that is not them? I know that Nana wouldn’t let just anyone in her house, this person needs to be close to her, or be someone she trusts, Nana is a spiritual wolf, she can sense people’s true intentions before they are even in front of her. She is that special, and because of that she lives away from everyone. Nana is a witch, she confessed it to me not long after I arrived and everyday I learn something new about her.
