TEN!!...BONFIRE

The light tap on my door was what woke me up the next day. I stirred on the bed, slowly opening my eyes to shield them from the sunlight which filtered through the curtains.

Before I could full open my eyes, a soft voice came from the door, rousing me awake.

“Hannah, sweetheart. It's me. Are you up yet?”

Well, I am up now.

Throwing the blanket from my body, I got down from the bed and stumbled towards the door, running my hand over my face.

When I opened the door, my eyes widened when I saw my mum all dressed up and smiling widely.

“Hey you,” She greeted, brushing past me into the room.

“Hey mum.”

I closed the door and followed her to the bed, where she sat down, still grinning and bouncing in obvious excitement.

“You are all teeth this morning. What's happened?”

“Did I wake you up?”

I shrugged, “Yeah, but it's already day break anyway, so no Biggie. What's going on?”
