“Why are the roads free?” Hilda asked, curious as ever.

“And bumpy,” Dash complained, grunting anytime the black Ford Escape entered a pothole.

I couldn’t answer them because I was sucking in the view of Moonstone. Over here, the sidewalks were bigger than the roads. There were so many wolves out, walking with their mates, pups, and parents… it was a calming sight—even though it was fairly noisy.

There were no houses around the main streets, just shops, salons, malls, restaurants, and others. Trees and vegetation were present, and the air was moist—scenting of different things as we passed through different stores.

For some reason, Moonstone was dull. I remembered that scorching sun that burnt me years ago. Now… I’d love to see it, anything was better than this dimness.

The atmosphere was cool and there were hundreds of scents. I could see some shifted wolves running down the streets. These roads reminded me a bit of the UK, but the potholes here were out of this world.
