Nora’s POV
I withdrew my books from the locker and searched for my AirPods. I had this weird habit of losing them every time. As I rummaged through my stuff, I heard someone call out my name.
“Nora?”
I turned around to find a guy I wasn’t familiar with standing behind me. He was tall, incredibly pale, and had a pair of enchanting blue eyes that I had never seen before.
“That’s me.” I nodded.
“I finally met you. I’m Alex. I’ve heard about you a lot and you can consider me as your biggest fan. It would be great if we could get to know each other. Mind if you have some free time?” he said, all in a breath.
Here goes another one!
As a person always in the front line who bullied the bullies, it was normal for me to receive all kinds of treatment.
That said, I had many admirers too. Therefore, when he popped out of nowhere, I wasn’t the least bit surprised.&nb
Nora’s POV My words caught up in my throat as I did not expect to come across him. As I stared at him blankly, he cleared his throat, snapping me back to reality. I nodded at him. “It is.” This was not good. I couldn’t be seen with him. I really have to give it to him, though. Ever since I met him near the locker room, he was resolute on going out with me. His repeated attempts annoyed me thoroughly. Although I ignored him on the campus in every way, he was like a disaster that couldn’t be avoided. I started thinking of a way to get rid of him. But he didn’t look like he had any intention to leave soon. Picking a random book from the shelf, he asked, flipping through the pages. “You love to read novels?” “I do,” I mum
Nora’s POV I arrived at Jessica’s house and layon her bed, staring at the ceiling. Both her parents workedand hence Jessica and her younger sister would have the house to themselves. “What? Miss me already?” Jessica teased while coming out of the bathroom. “I met him,” I confessed. “Who?” “Alex Rivera.” “What?” she asked, stunned. “I said I met Alex Rivera,” I repeated. She threw her towel on a nearby chairand snapped. “Are you crazy, Nora? Didn’t I-“ “Dude, relax,” I cut her off. “He came to me while I was in the library, not the other way round okay.” She took a deep breath. “What did you guys talk about?” I recalledthe entire thing that happened. “He seems persistent. Still, are you sure you didn’t give him any hints because he’s handsome?” she asked suspiciously. I rolled my eyesat her. Well,
On the second floor. With every move she took, she stirred the hearts of all the people present. Nora was not a professional dancer or someone who danced frequently, but her moves were clear and graceful.Maybe it was the wine that took control over her, or maybe because she was in a good mood, she found herself completely lost in the rhythm. As her body moved, the men in the room were all eyeing at her with shrewd gazes, about to pounce on her any moment. Suddenly, a hand snaked around her waist from behind and was spun around. Turning around, Nora met those dark grey eyes that stared at her dangerously. The familiar smell filled her nostrils. As she was tipsy, she didn’t push him away. Instead, she put her arms around his neck and moved her body along to the music. Liam held her soft waist, and they started dancing. Several people were on the dance floor, and their bodies were pres
Liam stood there quietly in the silent night. The nights in Kingstown were always cold. Added to that, they were now standing at the top, Nora was hit with the chilly breeze. Holding her trembling body, Liam hurriedly got down from the railings and pulled her down. When they reached the car, Nora suddenly pounced on him from behind. She hugged his strong waist, refusing to let him go. Liam stiffened before turning around and held her. “What’s wrong?” “It’s cold.” Nora hugged him tightly. Liam let her hug him and opened the car door and sat inside before pulling Nora on his laps. Snuggling into his embrace, she tried to absorb as much warmth as she could from his body. Liam turned on the heater and pulled the seat behind so they could sit comfortably. Putting her small hands in his broad palm, he rubbed them. Tonight, she wore a s
The following week, Liam did not show up in the school. Nora sent him countless messages and emails, but he did not answer any of them. Even Jackson did not know about his whereabouts. Nora was concerned but somewhat frustrated at how he would disappear telling no one. That was until one day when the school held a meeting with the students for their upcoming term ends, did he show up. Entering the class, as usual, Nora’s first reaction was to see if he was present or not. After seeing the familiar figure, she was elated. Today, he was wearing a round-neck black sweater with a white shirt underneath whose collars rested on the top of the sweater. He looked devastatingly hot. It was a blessing to see such a handsome face early morning. She put down her bag and greeted him cheerfully. “Morning!” Liam, who was fiddling on his phone, grunted in acknowledgment. It was onl
After school, Nora was immediately pulled into the student union’s office by Liam. He planned on taking her out but then realized his father’s men were keeping a tab on him everywhere. The only place safe right now was his office. Nora also agreed with his arrangements. They were nearing completing the project, and she could ask him to help her in her studies. Their takeout was yet to be delivered, so Nora took the time to explain to Liam the errors in the reports. At that moment, the door to the office opened and Nancy strutted in, swaying her hips. “You’re such a workaholic! It’s already so late and you are still working.” She exclaimed as soon as she entered. Hearing the voice, Nora raised her head and stared at Nancy, wondering if the latter had nothing to do with her life. As long as she had free time, she would come looking for Liam.
Nora and Jessica walked inside the cafeteria and sat at their usual table where two girls, Tori and Bree, awaited their arrival. Tori had strawberry blonde hair and narrow eyes whereas Bree had black eyes and brunette hair. The two of them weren’t considered close to Nora and Jessica but nevertheless enjoyed each other’s company. The atmosphere there was, as usual, peaceful. Sofia, the timid blonde girl, had also fit well among their group. Usually, she would accompany Liam and others. The boys back there would always engage in a conversation that made her easily embarrassed and hence she thought it was a good time to broaden her contacts and now spent most of the time with Nora. On various occasions, she would invite Nancy over, too. But the latter always stuck to Liam like glue. And knowing her personality, Sofia wouldn’t push her further. Though Nor
Nora entered the office, and the scene that greeted her left her stunned. Behind the desk, a devastatingly hot Liam sat working on the computer. He wore a dark green shirt and black pants. The gold-rimmed glasses rested on the bridge of his nose, further adding to his charms. Nora admitted, Men looked sexier when they worked. Sensing her entrance, Liam paused his meeting and raised his head. “Wait for a while. I’ll be done soon.” His deep voice resounded, and he went back to his work. Nora snapped back from her daze and replied. “Oh... okay!” Walking over to the couch, she sat down and started with her revision. While solving the questions, she sneaked glances at the man. After thirty minutes, a loud bang echoed in the room. Plopping on the table, Nora let out a frustrated groan. Thirty minutes! That was the maximum she could hold herself up. Just looking at the numbers gav
