"Nicole, you have to speak to us."

"Why?" She turned around, her voice coming out weak as she faced Asher. Her voice cracked and overall she looked drained out and exhausted, obviously not in the mood to interact with anyone.

"Come on, you honestly can't think all the things you said yesterday are true," He frowned. Asher genuinely was upset that she thought that way. He hated seeing her like this.

Just as she was about to turn around, Asher grabbed her arm making sure she stayed facing him.

"What do you want Asher?" She exhaled, inpatient and wanting to leave.

"I want you to talk to me." He said firmly, his eyes soft as they scanned her face and tried to uncover what she was thinking.

"I am."

"You know what I mean," He sighed.

"No, no I don't." She mumbled dryly.

"Nicole, please just talk to us. We all are fine and that's how it should be,"

"That's how it is,"

"No, it shouldn't be like this," He muttered.

"Asher, I need to get to class."
