Chapter 30

Ava

I opened the envelope with the material and looked inside, frowning and annoyed, as I followed Kyle into the mall parking lot, heading to his car.

" There was no need to buy all this stuff," I said, annoyed.

"You have a project, Ava," Kyle said, shaking his head.

"A project that I could have done very well with a piece of paper and a pen," I insisted.

"If you did, you wouldn't get an A," he said.

"Do you doubt my abilities?" I asked, bending my head to the side.

Kyle froze and turned to me, looking at me almost amused, raised his hands in the air, in defense "I would never allow myself," he said, laughing.

I crossed my arms to my chest and frowned even more. He laughed and walked over, then wrapped his shoulders around me with an arm and pulled me to him. My heart did a somersault in my chest and cut off my breath in my throat.

He smelled wonderful that made my mouth water. My body went into raptures, and I had to force myself not to jump on it there and at that moment.
