Tobias then turned and stormed off. The door slammed behind him and the room fell silent, slowly filling with tension.

“Are you okay, dear?” Gunner’s mother cooed softly as she stood in front of my face. She reached forward to touch my face but quickly stopped herself. She's observant, I'll give her that. She must have remembered that I told Lunaya not to touch me, clever lady. I narrowed my eyes and nodded my head. She smiled and stepped back a bit further away from me again.

“Come, let’s get you some food” she smiled and held her hand out to the door. Lupus went first, pushing open the door and holding it while the rest of us walked through.
