Chapter 5

It was a very long night. Apart from the obvious, I was definitely exhausted from the party. When I got home I removed my makeup, took off my high heels and untied the long dress that I had been stepped on by almost 30 people; don't get me started on how rough the bottom of dress was now.

It was beautiful while it lasted.

It was Monday, a fresh start to the week but the same routine was to be followed. Wake up and go to college.

I showered which was mandatory every time I had college as I knew it was the only thing that could prepare me for early classes. I was majoring in Biology and I wasn't too sure what I wanted to do career wise which is why I picked Biology as my major as I knew it would give me access to different fields to do with bio. Although, it was tough degree at college level, I was sort of a hard worker and near to perfectionist therefore, I made it my mission to do well. I didn't have to go to college, it was more of a choice of mine despite my mom basically signing up for me, it was still a choice as my dad was happy either way. However, I decided to go to college because it was an experience I didn't really want to miss out on and I'm glad I did as I don't regret it at all.

Nevertheless, college came with its struggles. I used to be a cheerleader in high school, I was captain for senior year which obviously meant I was good at it but when I got to college, I wasn't comfortable in doing it just because of my dads life. There were more people who knew of me, I was over 18 so it almost seemed like an 'adult pass' for a lot of people and when we found out some of my dad's literal rivals were attending my games; watching me, my dad was too skeptical in letting me continue which I know is messed up but I also couldn't tell my dad that. No matter how hard I tried to continue cheer at my new college, it wasn't getting past my dad who was too protective of me to let me continue. He had a lot of control and power in his life but the one thing he could not control was the minds of other people, men, mostly.

However, don't be fooled, that doesn't mean I was completely in Rapunzel mode. I could leave the house and I had few restrictions to my every day life just because my dad couldn't stop every teenage thing that was bound to happen. Male friends got a little more grilling than the usual type but I couldn't ever fight that.

You get the point. I had to be careful but I also couldn't put a cap on my life just because I was born in to this, and my parents were overly supportive of that.

Maybe I could get back in to cheer, one day.

After doing my usual everyday makeup that I had mastered to complete in under 20 minutes, I got dressed. I had a long today ahead of me as I had 4 classes, each 2 and a half hours each and then an hour in what is called a Q&A class where you are able to ask questions if needed. I also never went home on time because I would always end up the library with my friends; it's meant to be a study area but it was never quiet after 5pm, which is when we normally ended up going. Therefore, I decided to wear something a little more dressy and when I say dressy, I mean anything other than sweats.

I wore a pair of denim jeans and paired it with a white long sleeved crop top with a v neckline that wrapped around to the back and tied. Comfy yet cute. I wore my suede tan puma's and my usual Louis Vuitton tote bag that I wore everyday to college.

I never really bothered with my hair as it was naturally a little wavy and a little straight if you get what I mean. It was a dirty blonde so it always looked filled with volume and well... appropriate.

I grabbed my phone, throwing it in to my purse before I headed downstairs for my breakfast where I met my mom who was sat opposite her best friend, Maria. "Good morning mi amor (my love- spanish)" She smiled as she greeted me with a hug and a kiss, like usual, "Good morning Maria, how are you?" I asked her as she played with my hair.

"Good as always, your mother treated me to a glass of wine so I'm a little tipsy and it's not even midday yet!" She exclaimed pointing back at the bottle of alcohol sat in between them.

"You deserve it, you're always so busy" I told her as I walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed the juice carton.

"Chica, eres un bombón (girl, you're such a hottie)" She said in a high pitched tone making me turn around to see her looking at me from head to toe whilst wiggling her brows. I laughed, "She gets it from me" My mom joined in as I nodded eagerly so that she knew how much I appreciated her good genes.

"Make sure you find yourself a man who can handle that booty of yours yeah? Your mama gave it up for Aldo so easily, you gotta make them fight for it so that they never leave" She continued making all of us laugh as I finished the juice I had poured in to my cup.

"Oh trust me Maria, Aldo will never be leaving me after the games we play in our bedroom-" my eyes widened as I literally choked on my drink, putting the cup down, "Okay I'm gonna get going! Bye love you!" I quickly said, before rushing out to the sound of their laughter.

I got in to my car before I waited for the our gates to open, driving out and to my college.

After my classes, eating, chugging 2 cups of coffee, I met my friends in the library at 5:30.

"Oooo, can I get your number?" My best friend Zara cooed as I approached the 4 girls who sat at the usual table. I felt my cheeks turn red as I could feel the stares on me from other students.

"You make it your mission to embarrass me don't you?" I asked making them laugh as I sat down on the seat. "So, whats the latest? What have I missed?" I asked raising my brows as they 4 looked at me laughing.

"Well, Mr player Ryan Parker left the party last night with Sasha, well all know what that means." Nance explained making my eyes widen, looking over at Spencer who was rolling her eyes, fake yawning. Ryan Parker was her ex boyfriend and the relationship ended because he was being weird with this Sasha girl, a little too friendly but he always denied it... oh how the tables have turned.

"What an asshole" I said making them all agree by nodding their heads.

"Theres my ladies, and Nancy" The all too familiar voice of Charlie Beck spoke from behind me. We all turned our heads to see him and two of his friends now standing next to us with grins on their faces. "Very funny" Nancy laughed, shoving him as he came and sat on the arm rest of her chair next to her.

"What's going on? Ain't heard from none of y'all in a minute" Dean spoke up, nudging my shoulder as he came and sat next to me, Liam on the other side of me. "We've been busy, entertaining others" Zara answered making us girls laugh but the boys roll their eyes.

"That's what you do best no?" Liam sassed, yet again making us laugh.

"Miss Savanna, how was daddy's ball?" Charlie asked with an amused look to his face. It was no secret that my dad was mafia, but it was also was a secret because nobody went around screaming it. It was just one of those things that you knew but didn't talk about. Unless you were really brave.

"It was amazing Charlie, how was the club you always end up in on a Saturday?" I asked making everyone cheer at my response. I did tend to praise myself for my comebacks.

"You got me there" he grinned. As you can see our relationship with these boys was very friendly as we had known them since high school, there was no awkwardness here.

"So, what's the vibe for your birthday Nance? You got anything planned?" Liam asked as he stole the her chocolate.

After shooting him a glare and snatching her chocolate away, she responded, "I'm not one to miss a party" she replied making them grin with excitement.

As we continued talking, I looked down at my phone to see I had a message from my mom. We had been sat here for a little while now so I guessed she was asking how much longer I'd be; just protocol to ensure I was safe. After reading that it was indeed that, I thought it would be a good idea to get home as whenever she asked me how much longer I'd be, it meant she wanted me home for whatever reason.

"I'm gonna get going," I announced, standing up and collecting my things. "Already? We only just got here" Liam spoke up as I looked down at him.

"Stop staring at her ass" Nance spoke up making my eyes widen at her explicit comment as they all laughed. I know it sounded intense but trust me, this was just our humour. "It ain't a bad thing, Sav got a fire body" Liam replied making me grin as he held up his hands in defence "Thank you Liam," I paused as I pulled out my seat. "You want me to walk you to your car?" He continued making me glance over at the girls who were all trying to contain their laughter.

"Sure" I agreed, that wouldn't harm.

I waited for him to stand up and watching as he winked at his friends, making me laugh shaking my head towards the girls; boys will be boys. With that, we both walked side by side to the exit and out of the building towards my car.

"So, you not dating right now?" He asked making me laugh yet again, I told you, boys will be boys.

"No, I'm not dating right now" I replied. "And you not interested in dating?" He continued.

"It's not that I'm not interested, I just am not actively looking to date anybody" I replied. It was true, I didn't want to force anything because nothing good ever came from that.

"Well you ain't gotta actively look nowhere if I'm right here, you feel me?" He said making me laugh. He made me laugh which was a good thing but in all honesty, I could never see myself dating him just because I had known him since we were kids, for real.

"And you know I like you like that" He ended, smirking at me as he looked at me up and down making me yet again laugh.

"See you later Liam" I grinned as he winked at me, watching me get in to my car before I drove away.

I arrived home, my eyes down to the ground as I opened the front door. I could hear laughter from the dining area which only meant there were guests which wasn't uncommon for my parents. I dropped my purse by the staircase before I headed in to the dining area, stepping down on the step before looking up.

"Hey sweetheart, I'm glad you came home, we have a guest here for dinner" I heard my dad speak up but in all honesty, my attention was on somebody else, the guest.

Jason sat at the dining table, another man to his side who looked his age too. Two of my dads best friends sat opposite them and my mom sat at the other end of the table, opposite my dad. Maria also sat next to my mom.

My eyes met the hazel ones I didn't think I'd be seeing anytime soon, but man did they make me weak.

He made me feel all type of ways.
