27 Black Card

Amelia's POV

I went downstairs after some time and I met William in the dining room, already having breakfast.

"Good morning", I decided to start this day again.

No apologies from anyone, no remembering the past, nothing. It's just going to be a normal Sunday morning.

"Morning", he replied, looking at me as I pulled a chair out.

Seems he understands what I am trying to do as well.

"Where is Mary?", I asked as I took my seat.

"She does not stay here on Sundays", William replied.

"Who cooked this then?", I asked in confusion.

"Mary", he replied which earned a frown from me.

"I do not even want to pry further", I said and he chuckled.

We finished eating and I stood up to take my dishes away to the kitchen.

He stood up as well and I grabbed his dish quickly.

"What are you doing?", he asked as I arranged all the dishes on the rectangular tray I picked up from the dining table. I am guessing Mary uses this when she gets to be the one to pack the plates away from the dining tab
