Luca sat between Jedidiah and Williams on the couch while Saint and Harry occupied the love seat next to them.

Jackson was sitting in the recliner with his feet tucked under him and nibbling on his fingers. Nathan sat on a kitchen chair he’d pulled from the dining area in front of the couch, facing the group with a solemn look on his face and elbows resting on his knees.

No one said anything throughout dinner or during the twenty minutes it took Jackson and Luca to do the dishes afterwards. It’s already been nearly fifteen minutes that they’ve sat in the living room in silence, all waiting for one of them to start talking.
