Jedidiah’s grand mother wiped the tear tracks from Luca’s face and smiled warmly at him.

“Welcome to the family,” she said.

“T-thank you,” said Luca softly as Liam wrapped an arm around his shoulder.

Jedidiah’s grand mother smiled at all of them and clapped her hands twice. “Now I think we’ve wasted enough time blocking the entry way,” she laughed. “Who’s hungry?” The boys cheered and followed her into the party room.

Liam looked at Luca as they sat down at the table in the party room. “You okay?” he asked carefully.

Luca turned his head to look at Williams, his eyes sparkling with a life Luca hasn’t seen since they’ve been together, and the boy flashed him a large grin. “I’m feeling great, thank you,” he replied happily.
