Chapter 88: The Devil called Gustav

Iris' POV

"Why are you here?" Gustav growled.

My body was beginning to itch all over from the sticky sweat my body was producing. Monica was right. I was going crazy on the mesh. Some of the sweat trickling down my forehead found their way into my eyes, stinging the balls like pepper stray. Kitana howled in sympathy for me, resting her head on her forelimbs, curled up in her compartment.

The blood on Rhoda's neck had dried up by now, but Amber and Monica where still writhing in numbing pain. Blood streamed out of Amber's forearms from the spikes pushed up into them, her eyes half open. She was strong-willed, but there's only much she could handle. She was losing both blood and life, and fast.

Monica was in no better condition. Three gapping strips from the impression of the whip still hung open, bleeding. The skin around the broken flesh were red and sore, courtesy of the wolfs-bane in them. Blood rimmed out of the strips, as flies were beginning to hover noisily above her back. Ambe
