Ryan’s POV:

I look at her phone, trying to maintain a facade of calm, but inside, I'm seething with anger and frustration.

"Look at your little crush, Ryan," Cari says smugly. "If you've been looking for answers, there you have it."

"Why are you showing me this? I don't care at all," I lie through gritted teeth.

"If I were Luna, I would never do this to you," she declares with a self-righteous tone.

"Cari, for the last time, you and I will never be together," I state firmly, my patience wearing thin.

"Good," she frowns. "But I hope you don't get together with that creature because she doesn't deserve to be forgiven."

"Why do you keep talking about her?" I question, my frustration growing.

"You know very well that she poisoned me and then hid the evidence in her sweatshirt. This is bothering me, Ryan!" Cari insists.

I'm taken aback by her claim. How does Cari know where Eve hid the evidence? She was in a coma at the time, and I doubt I shared this information with anyone else.
