Raven’s Pov:

I'm sitting in my father's office again, and there's no seat for me. He called me urgently, and that's what I hate the most. It means something has gone wrong, or there's an assignment waiting for me.

My body feels off, unnatural. I haven't felt my wolf for a week now, and I'm terribly weak. This state is unbearable.

The door opens, and my father enters the office. He glances at me before throwing a folder of documents in front of my face.

"Hello, Dad," I greet him, bowing my head.

“Raven, I have a task for you,” he begins directly.

"Whatever you say," I reply humbly.

He smiles at my words but quickly clears his throat to continue.

"Ryan was supposed to sign the peace treaty with us today, but now he called me saying he has an urgent job in Italy."

I nod, not fully grasping his intentions. He seems annoyed by Ryan's delay.

"I want you to go to Italy and sign the contract," he states.

"Wouldn't it be better to wait for him? He's obviously busy, Dad.”

I wonder if Ryan orchestrated the attacks so he can look like the knight in shining armour and attempt to win her over, which he isn’t doing a great job of atm.
