Seeing Gabe laid there like that was enough to make me want to go and find that Alpha and torture the evil son of a bitch, I swear I have never felt anger like it. But intermingled with the anger was agony and upset at seeing my closest friend and cousin injured, knowing he had been so close to dying.

And he had been like that because he had come down here to help me and my mate. I will always look at it like that. He didn’t have to come, but he will have had the same pull to the warrior's team and the family I did and wouldn’t have wanted to leave them.

He wanted to help, support us and be there. Part of me wonders if some of his reasoning was for Esme too. And seeing her now by his side, anyone can see they are meant to be together. They need to make this being mates work now. They would be crazy not to.
