Chapter 27: Start the Festival

Ruby bowed to the crowd. With that she disappeared with the ringmaster behind the stage. The four of them were worried, but Ruby gave them a hand signal before leaving that she was okay.

Shortly afterward the competition came to an end. The performers and audience started to dissipate.

"Look," said John pointing at Ruby.

They all saw her and followed her closely as she was coming out from backstage.

"Zachery put a bug on her," said Eric.

Zachery nodded. He spoke to one of his bugs and it flew over to Ruby and landed on her shoulder. Ruby noticed the bug but didn't flinch. Instead, she remained calm and continued walking towards a carriage.

"We got her on a tracker now, we'll know if anything happens," said Eric.

"Hopefully she stays safe," said Kevin.

"If she is in any danger the bug will explode and it will send a signal to us," said Zachery.

"Good. We'll know the moment she needs help," said Eric trying to look calm.
