Chapter 60: Satisfying Desires

Vaughn peered over the window as soon as he woke up. He let out a sigh of disappointment when he saw that the skies were dark and stormy. Raindrops pelted against the glass, creating a rhythmic yet teasing beat.

“Why the hell is this happening?” he whispered.
