Your Ancestors Protect You

The sky was so blue that there were no clouds in sight. If she wasn’t aware that she was staring at the sky she would think that the blue sky she was staring at was a curtain hung above her head.

She kicked her cramped legs and the rope tightened in return. Tears started to leak from the corner of her eyes. “Eon,” she whimpered in fear. “Please, help me.”

“Shut up!” A harsh voice and harsher kicks hit Lina on her thigh. “No one will come and save you!”

She bit her lower lip to stop herself from crying out in pain. She refused to give in to the torment that her abductor had given her in, as not to give him the satisfaction in his action.

She had been lying on the floor of this narrow boat and they had been traveling for quite a while now because she was already feeling the numbness of her back. She had no idea what was really happening. She thought she was just dreaming and the next thing she knew, everything was no longer a dream. She had no recollect
