Chapter 58

I fought against those who held me down, my entire form thrashing in desperation, I had to save him, I had to help the only person in this whole country who risked his life to try and take me home. I stopped suddenly, my entire body becoming still, as though something was preventing me from aiding him in any way I could; though that wasn’t the case. The power within me snapped, forcing its way to the surface before I could comprehend what was happening; my body like lava to touch causing the vampires who held me down to pull back in shock and fear. It all happened within a split second, it was as though sunlight had shot across the sky in the dead of night; throwing the two vampires back into nearby trees as they screamed in anguish; their bones snapping along with the branches as the others attempted to put out the flames.
