Destination Hotel

As soon as we arrive at the hotel, it comes as a relief to me that we're not too late. We’ve certainly cut it rather close though, but thankfully Max realised he did not want to sleep on the streets tonight.

The hotel room is fancier than I expected, but it is still a far cry from what a God should live in. Still, I will make do with such humble accommodations. Besides, the bed is much bigger than his and that means we can enjoy ourselves a whole lot more. And in more ways than one.

“Stop thinking dirty thoughts,” Max scolds me as he puts our backpacks down on the stand.

I smirk but hold up my hands innocently. “I cannot stop. Stopping would require me to not want to see your blissful face again, and that is an impossible request to ask of me.”

“Ugh, so cheesy,” Max complains at my flirting, but he can’t deny that my lines made him blush. “This isn’t a vacation… you realise that?” He
