Chapter 57: A New Future

Selena got on her feet instantly.

"What did you just say?" she murmured, still trying to understand if what she heard was correct.

Maybe she misunderstood something. It was really hard to understand the whole story.

Grandma pulled her back and made her sit again on the bed.

"Don't make a lot of fuss about it here. Someone can hear you."

"How do you expect me to react to this? You can't just drop something like that at me and expect me to be calm." she whispered back angrily.

How could she suggest something like that to Selena?

"Grandma, he already hates me as it is. Imagine what he'll do if I try to take his place. He'll burn me alive."

"He won't do such thing. We have rules, and even though he is not the best leader, he does follow the rules."

Selena looked at her confused.

"What are you talking about?"

"Most of werewolves' packs have rules about their Alphas. Of course it is something you're born into, but as time passed, some of us realized that some Alphas lead their packs to ruin
