Natash's POV

In fact, he did drink a lot, to the point of being extremely intoxicated.

Although Jaclyn Dills' gaze remained clear, my mind was already muddled, unable to distinguish the present from any other night.

After he got thoroughly drunk, he loved to talk, revealing all those innermost thoughts that were usually kept hidden.

However, in all the time I've known him, there have been few occasions when he was truly drunk, and I had the privilege of witnessing his level of intoxication; Morris was the first, and up until now, I was the second.

I felt somewhat uneasy under his gaze, and my entire body seemed to be covered in goosebumps.

His eyes were fixed on me, and after a moment, they suddenly changed, appearing clear but increasingly tender.

That tenderness, I thought, could drip like water.

I had never seen Jaclyn Dills like this before, and I couldn't quite grasp it. I reached out to pull his arm, advising, "It's cold outside, and it's snowing. Let's go in."
