Chapter 45-Linda's attempt

Natash's POV

I sat on the bed lost in thought for a while, glancing sideways at our daughter. The little one seemed tired from playing, sleeping peacefully.

Strands of soft hair covered her forehead, some even across her eyes. I gently brushed them aside to reveal her smooth forehead.

Closing my eyes, I noticed a striking resemblance to Jaclyn·Dills. I wondered what joyful dreams she might be having, her small mouth curving into a sweet smile, laughter bubbling up, so clear and crisp.

I paused, unable to suppress a smile. Being a child is truly wonderful; life is filled with happiness, and even when upset, one can cry freely.

I vaguely remembered my own carefree childhood. Now, my life felt burdened, as if carrying a great mountain, suffocating.

Initially, I thought I could endure Jaclyn·Dills for Perry's sake, pretending to be an ordinary couple. However, I now realized it was challenging, at least for me.

Perhaps, one day, when I no longer loved him, it might be achievable. B
