Tristan's face was funny that I had to hold in my laughter. I held a fist to my mouth and bit it. Was he shocked because he never expected Lola to say yes?

"Aww, you're too happy you're short of words to say." I held a hand to my chest and pretended to be happy.

"What?" He furrowed his brows even more than before. "Wait-"

"Oh, Tris. I've been waiting for you to ask me." She beamed, launching herself into Tristan's arms and holding him tight like it was going to be her last.

It warmed my heart a bit because it seemed so genuine and pure to me. Maybe from here they'd date and get married in the school hallways. It'd now be completed by him living with her in his parents basement, while I die of loneliness. I sniggered, but they didn't notice.

It seemed like Tristan was trying to get her off him, while she wanted more of the heat his body emitted. Oof! I still got no date for prom... Maybe I'd just go with father or maybe Cameron or by myself.

We got into the car and the silence was awful
