As he sat in the empty chair in front of me enquired.

With a forced smile on my lips, I answered, "Yes."

He looked at my face and said, "But your red and swollen eyes aren't like this."

"Please leave me alone, Rachit; it's not a good habit to joke all the time," I replied, concealing my face from his gaze.

"Do I appear to be playing around, Riya?" He inquired, his tone somber.

Rachit, please leave. I wiped my tears away and mumbled, "I don't dare to argue with you."

As he walked out of my office, he said, "OK, I'll see you when you're ready to talk."
