"Daddy said you divorced Veronica because you were going to marry me. Is that true?"she asked with a smile.

There is a trace of happiness on her face while looking at me. Her eyes are sparkling as we hold and staring at each other.But I just nod and smile at her sparingly. I saw disappointment on her face at my response. It is obvious that I didn't like what she said.

"Is Daddy the only one who likes this?"she asked me.

I took a deep breath and forced myself to pretend that I also wanted to marry her. The threat of Mr.Gonzales replayed over and over in my mind.I didn't want to make a mistake and harm my family.

"No. I also want it because I realized that you are the one I love," I lied.

She was obviously surprised by what I said and almost cried with joy.She smiled sweetly and hugged me tightly. I know I made her hope that everything I said was true but I have no choice.
