Chapter 33

Early in the morning, Aurora had already arrived at the hospital. Because she had stayed overnight with Alex, she deliberately avoided any unnecessary meetings, especially engaging in conversation with him.

Since earlier, Aurora had been sitting at her desk lost in thought. Staring straight out the window while observing the row of buildings in front of her, she continued to ponder, searching for the best way to respond to Alex, Nicole, and her in-laws' actions towards her.

For God's sake, Aurora felt openly manipulated. She seemed so foolish because her self-esteem had been undermined. Trampled upon. What's worse, she, the victim, was made out to be the most culpable figure in the marital problems she was facing.
