"Have you ever met your biological parents?" Matthew asked, his eyes focused on the road before him. Madeline sat in the passenger's seat, staring out the window boredly.
"No. I don't even know who they are."
"They just left you in a forest?"
"Yeah, that's what everyone told me."
He was suddenly very interested in knowing more about his mate. "What was your life like before I brought you here?"
"Hmm... It wasn't that interesting. I had school, but I hated it and skipped class most days. I spent a lot of time baking things, whenever there was an event, the Pack would always ask me to make a cake for them. And sometimes, Nathan would take me to the city and we'd meet other humans."
