Though she acted bold during the attack Scarlet was a piece of meat by the time all the action in the house was over. Her face was red with trepidation as if she had seen a ghost. Droplets of sweat settled on her forehead like she had run a marathon even when the temperature was less than 5 degrees in the city.
If something would have happened to her how would she protect Angel? "My cute princess..." Scarlet whispered, rushed to the child's bedroom, and hugged her. "Angel my Sunshine..." She kissed her face, little arms endlessly and pulled her to her chest.
