"What did the doctors say? Why didn't you reach me earlier?" Sania respired with trembling lips holding the shirt of Charles in tight fists as if it would reduce her pain.

Charles looked down at her hands which were holding his collar. Had it been someone else other than Sania he would have cut those hands by now but he could decipher the mental state of the unfortunate girl. She was desperately waiting for his brother in the last six months and trying her best in collecting positivity in every moment of her life with a lot of patience.

Sania’s eyes slowly reached the orbs of Charles and swiftly removed her hands from holding his collar as if she received a shock. “I'm sorry, big brother. It is just that….” An involuntary whimper fell out of her.

“I understand.” Charles did not allow her to cry more and quickly cleaned her tears with the pads of his thumb.
