10-Barbecue

It's been three months since we said, I love you, things between us were going great.

"Nate!"

"What?" He answered innocently.

"You ate the last cupcake."

"I was hungry, don't worry, I will go buy you some." He pecked my lips.

Knock!

"Are you expecting company?" He whispered.

"No, go hide." I whispered back. He went to the guest room.

I opened the door and it revealed dad, "Hey, little monkey." He hugged me.

"Hey dad, what brings you here?"

"Came to see if you still live, haven't seen you in two weeks."

"College and life keep me busy." I sighed.

"Well, don't be a tool and make time for your family." He grinned.

"Hey mister, those are my words."

"Mine now." He chuckled; I just shook my head. "Is Nate here? I saw his car parked downstairs."

"He's seeing someone on the 5th floor. I think he's finally settling in." I replied trying to play it cool.

"About time. I hope he isn't goofing around; the man needs to get married and have a family."

"I'm sure with time, he will." I added.
