MELIA POV

I was exhausted from all the tossing and turning I had down last night. I tried over and over to use my power and mindlink now that I was out of that goddess forsaking cage, but that must not have been what was suppressing my magic because I was basically rendered human here. Even my chrysoprase stone ring was useless. The heat didn’t help my restlessness, frustration, or the frizziness of my hair. My hand was killing me, and when Elsie knocked on the door to give me my attire for the day, I was right down rude and grouchy.

“Miss I have your attire for the day. Are you decent?” A knock at the door pulled me from the frustration of uselessness.

“I don’t want any attire for the day. I want to be left alone.” I groaned.

“I’m sorry, Miss, but that just won’t do.” Elsie unlocked the bedroom and slipped into my room.
