#Chapter 59: Unexpected Arrival

AVA’s POV

Ava.

The pull was undeniable, he was here. I felt my throat bob up and down as I swallowed. I looked over to the other side of my bed and found that it was empty.

Elijah must have gone for a run this morning.

Ava, come to me.

I shook my head as Jacob’s mindlink dominated my senses. My mouth began to water as his scent grew closer to my perimeter. I took a deep breath to inhale his musk, the smell of timber chips and grass invaded my senses.

I missed you.

Without hesitation I jump out of bed and run down stairs. I open the door to see and full bouquet in front of me. Swirled colors of reds, pinks, and whites bring a smile to my face.

He still remembered my favorites.

As the flowers are lowered I see him for the first time in a long time. I began to remember why I was in love with the man in front of me. He was gentle and kind. Our memories were a beautiful reminder.
