Valentina’s P.O.V

It was hot… I felt hot and very uncomfortable, there was something heavy on my neck and it felt as though the weight was sinking me into the bed. I groaned in pain, maybe it’s because I was now awake, but I felt a very sharp pain in my jaw and legs. My eyes flung open and I was met with sharp bright lights that made me wince.

I was in a hospital, and there was no one in my room, I wanted to call for help, I didn’t need anything at the moment but I wanted to know why I was there and why is there a cast on my neck.

Oh now that I remember, the events of Ron beating me up flashed across my mind, and I sank back into the bed in defeat.

Who would have thought that was the reason why I have always been hated and stigmatized all those years? Tears well in my eyes, it’s not my fault… but it was also my fault.

I tried to turn but it was close to impossible, I felt so heavy and I burst into tears, the pain came from inside my chest.
