“Well, how did you find him this way?” He asked me.
“He…actually found me.” I clarified. “I…When he came in, I was in the kitchen waiting for my clothes to finish a cycle. He was drenched in sweat, and his wound…it was…”
“What?” Master Wade pressed.
“It was black oozed…completely infected. Almost as if it was necrotizing or something.” I couldn’t believe that no one noticed this while the Lycan Alpha was in the meeting. “All due respect, Master Wade, did no one notice how terrible a shape he was in?”
“Valene, I know that it may be hard to believe, but Ares was fine in the meeting. He almost seemed to be healing completely.”
