"Well, it's a good thing Damon was there to stop you on time." My doctor sighed. "Any second later would have been lethal to her. She'd be fine and will probably wake up soon."

"How soon?" I asked.

"In like three or four days. Could be less." He shrugged. "Next time, try to be conscious of your actions. You could have killed her." He patted my shoulder and walked out of the room.

"You finally heeded my advice. Look who's standing alright now." Damon grinned. He had successfully pleased his ego. I groaned and relaxed my back on the chair.

"But was it that good?"

"Do you wanna hear the painful truth?" I grumbled with my eyes closed.

"Yeah!" He sat beside me and put his hand across my shoulder.

"It's the best I've ever come across," I said. I was pained though. I just confessed that Iris's blood tasted better than that of Zaria's.

"You don't mean it!" He exclaimed. "Are you sure you're not being brainwashed to say this? The alpha Finn I know would never say this."
