A faint blush devoured her cheeks, and she bent her head in a bid to hide them. She solely wondered why his touch had so much effect on her.

"Would you like to share what the problem is?" She asked, and he shook his head in disagreement. "Okay, has my apology been accepted?"

"On one condition." Duncan held up a finger, letting go of her hand.

"It better not be something ridiculous," Erin mumbled, motioning for him to continue.

Slowly, Duncan closed the gap between them, and his calloused palms found her small waist.

"You let me kiss you," Duncan announced, and she facepalmed, shaking her head in opposition.

"I can not go around kissing a stranger." Erin tried to free herself from his hold, but his grip never weakened.

"We are not strangers anymore. We are soul mates. I promise I will not kiss you for long." Duncan pouted, and she gave it a long thought before accepting.

"Just this once." A small smile graced her lips, and he chuckled, pushing up his eyebrows.
