CHAPTER 36

DANIEL's POV

While walking in the hallway, I saw Kaelynn walking out of her bedroom, wearing an oversized jacket in this hot summertime. I raised my left eyebrow at her when I noticed that she was at her nape, and she was awkward and restless, which made me even more curious.

"Did something happen, My Loves?" I asked as soon as I approached her, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Huh? Ah, h-hahaha, nothing. Nothing happened," she answered with an awkward laugh. Then, she handed me the letter she had written back for Nana and Red.

"Thanks again, Daniel," she said, quickly walking away.

"Hey, wait! There's something weird about you," I said, so she quickly turned to face me and shook her head aggressively.

"Nope! Nothing's wrong with me!" she replied.

"Oh, yes, there is," I said as I looked at her intently, but she immediately avoided my gaze, which confirmed my thoughts.

I knew it. You're hiding something, Kaelynn. I thought as I stepped closer to her, but she quickly stepped back.
