The breakfast was finally over. Laura slowly got up from her sit. The guests had long gone, leaving only her and Jackson. Even Lucien had gone with some of them.

She sighed as she grabbed her plates, and kept them in the sink. Jackson didn’t waste time to start washing them. He was normally so domesticated and hated dirtiness with a passion.

Marcus always hyped him about it.

“Where did Marcus go?” She asked softly.

Jackson shrugged. “He said something about buying new groceries and stuff. We are running out of goodies because of the guests.” He explained calmly.

Laura nodded, and slowly leaned her back on the counter, placing her hands on it. She found it so relaxing because it helped to stretch her worn-out muscles.

“You know,” she started conversationally. He looked at her calmly. “I’m not stupid. Those people are a part of your werewolf people, but I’m kind of surprised about what they are doing here,” she said softly.
