Penelope looked at Caleb nervously. “I didn’t do anything, Caleb.”

Avery snorted and continued to complain, “She’s so fierce. I was worried that she’d eat me alive!”

Then, he turned to look at Caleb and pouted. “Don’t think I don’t know what your relationship with her is. Don’t need to pretend to be the good guy. You’re not like this when you bullied my mommy!”

Caleb's assistant came and found out who was giving out the flyers. “Sir, I think the boy is your son...”

The assistant's gaze fell on Avery, thinking that they were virtually identical.

“Alright, enough,” Caleb rubbed his temples, but his gaze never left the boy.

“What? Was I wrong? Or are you going to beat me to death because of the flyers, too?” Avery questioned him.

Caleb shook his head. “No, but there are too many people here, and it’s not convenient to talk. I’ll take you to my office, alright?”

Avery was hesitating, but when he saw Penelope’s expression from the corner of his eye, he chose to follow him.
