I am the reason for her pain

There was a rhythmic sound coming from a distance, and elsewhere there was a sound of air pumping- sounded like it was coming from close by. Anna couldn’t move as she thought of what those noises were. Her vision went blank when she tried to open her eyes. Her eyelids were dry and heavy, the light was blinding her. The strong scent of a well-sterilized room kicks into her senses as soon as she gains consciousness. Where is she? The only thing she sees now is a white ceiling devoid of any sense of life. Her head hurts so freaking much, and it started to spin once she tried to get up, which made her moan in pain.

“Oh! Anna! Are you awake?” a woman's voice suddenly rang in her ears. Although it's blurry, she could definitely see who is the owner of the voice. Moreover, the voice is very familiar, as she recognized it immediately.

“Mom.” She mumbled and started to moan in pain as she massaged her temples.
