CHAPTER 39

"Because I'm still in traffic. I'm really sorry if I’ll arrive late."

I joined Henrix and Audrey to sit on Henrix's blanket on the grass for our early picnic today.

"Have you eaten, Aud?"

"Actually... Daddy and I couldn't wait for you anymore. Someone came by selling porridge here earlier, so we just bought it there. And we just finished eating it."

I looked at Hen, wanting to question him about the reason why he allowed Audrey to eat some foods from street vendors.

“Hen-”

"You don't have to worry, honey. I will not let Aud eat foods that are not good for her health. I make sure that the food is not contaminated-”

"How are you sure it's not?"

"My grandfather will not sell contaminated foods."

My anger suddenly disappeared when I heard what Hen said. My question about the food he bought for Audrey... I kinda feel like I judged the foods that his grandfather is selling to the people.
