45: Catches

"Are you okay?" I asked Solana, she's been so quiet since earlier. We are at their garden, some servants were cleaning around but Solana was just here beside me pouting while her chin is leaning in the broom she's holding.

"I can't still forget the story you told me, do you think it is even possible to happen to us? I know mates can be rejected but isn't it the love that will prevail? I can't understand," she frowned so I laughed.

I looked at the flowers around me. I remembered that little Yanli who took me to the field that time and showed me his new found friend, the little twilight flower he's been taking care of. I wonder how he is right now, I would like to see him again.

I shifted my gaze at Solana. She is still holding the emotions from earlier.

"It can happen, and maybe it already happened to someone unfortunate." I told her. If she only knew it.

"It can't be, right? Because mates are supposed to love each other and not fall in love with somebody else." I shrugged my shoulder
