Chapter 104: Friends?

We were standing there and looking at each other like our lives depended on each other. Her lips parted away. I felt like that this was the moment she's going to run away. There was so much in her eyes right now but that's what she always did. I saw the way her throat worked, how she gulped slowly until a voice finally came out of it.

"Is there something wrong with it?" She once again gulped nervously and continued "Can't I praise you or give you a compliment?" She innocently asked.

Amy didn't moved away or snapped back at me and that was weird of her. As well as the things she said on the phone and the soft tone she is using now. Everything about her was surprising me today. But that was in a good way as well because things were finally starting to look good between us.

"Have you ever complimented me before?" I narrowed my eyes and asked a question even though I was aware of the answer but I guess she wasn't.

"Things change. People change and I guess I'm changing as well," Her voice
